
The Camden County High School FFA Plant Sale is this Saturday, May 10th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Camden County High School Greenhouse behind the CCHS Gym next to Camden Early College.


The Camden County Board of Education will have its regular meeting on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Camden County Public Library for various purposes. The Board will hold a closed session at 6:00 p.m. to discuss one or more confidential personnel matters, as allowed by NCGS 143-318.11(a)(1),(3), and (6). The closed session will be followed by an open session at 7:00 p.m. The open session is open to the public in accordance with the North Carolina Open Meetings law. On Wednesday, April 30th at approximately 9:00 am, Camden County High School and Camden Early College High School will have a mock wreck scenario and presentation for juniors and seniors that will include two wrecked cars, emergency personnel including the sheriff's department, EMS, and the fire department on the campus as well as Nightingale landing in the back portion of the campus, weather permitting. The two wrecked automobiles for the presentation have been delivered to the campus and are visible in the back parking lot. We will send out another message on the morning of the event as well as post this announcement on the district and school-level social media pages. “The Camden County Board of Education will hold a Special Called Meeting to conduct a joint session with the Camden County Board of Commissioners on April 16, 2025, beginning at 5:30 P.M., at the Camden County Public Library, to discuss the construction of the new Camden County High School, which may include but is not limited to consideration of the guaranteed maximum price, the contract addendum establishing the guaranteed maximum price, and other associated factors with the project. The Board may also take action to approve the guaranteed maximum price and contract addendum for the guaranteed maximum price, and/or make other revisions to the guaranteed maximum price, contract, or contract addendum. There will not be a closed session or a public comment segment during the Special Called Meeting, nor will the meeting be livestreamed.”

The rising 6th grade parent night has been moved to Thursday evening at 6 pm due to the weather.

Camden County Schools will release students at 12:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Camden Middle School will be hosting rising 6th grade parent night on Wednesday, March 5th, at 6:00 in the auditorium.

Camden County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Camden County Schools will have remote instruction for ALL students and staff on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Camden County Schools will have remote instruction for ALL students and staff on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Camden County Schools will have remote instruction on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, and all after-school activities are canceled or rescheduled.
Essential Personnel for Camden County Schools will report until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, and all Camden County Schools and offices will close at 11:00 a.m.
Grades K-5 remote instruction packets will be available at Grandy Primary and Camden Intermediate Schools from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, February 18th.
Packets will be left outside the schools in containers after 4:00 p.m. today.
Packets will also be available at the schools on Wednesday, February 19th, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Grades K-5 remote instruction packets will also be available online on GPS/CIS websites, Infinite Campus, and Google Classroom.
Remote instruction for grades 6-12 will be posted on Canvas.
We will send out information for the rest of the week as the inclement weather situation progresses.

Camden County Schools will be remote for students and staff tomorrow, Friday, January 24 2025, due to many secondary roads still being covered in snow and ice.
Building-level administrators, District-level Coordinators, Directors, and Cabinet will have a three-hour delay but should contact their supervisor if they feel conditions are still unsafe after the delay.

Thursday, January 23, 2025, will be a Remote Learning Day for ALL students and staff.
Please stay safe and warm.

All after-school activities are canceled for today, Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
Wednesday, January 22, 2025, will be a remote learning day for students and 10-month staff due to the threat of winter weather. Students in grades 6-12 should log onto their Canvas accounts to access their work for the day. Students in grades K-5 will have work packets sent home with them today, Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
11 and 12-month employees will now have a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
If conditions are still not safe after the two-hour delay, please work with your supervisor if you cannot come in or need to report later.

The Board of Education for Camden County is accepting applications to fill one vacancy on the Camden County School Board. Anyone interested, qualified, and eligible to serve on the Camden County Board of Education by temporary appointment is required to complete an online application located on our district website (https://www.ccsnc.org).
To be a Qualified Candidate a person must:
• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Reside in and be a permanent resident of Camden County; and
• Be otherwise eligible to hold elective office in North Carolina.
Applicants must complete all required fields on the application. Information submitted in the application is public data and may be subject to release upon request.
